You know the ones. They have potential but never reach it. There is a lot of talk about hype on these boards lately. Only a bit of fun to keep me from getting bored during my poker tournament.
So, players that were hyped and then turned out gash or disappeared a bit. I'll start.

Freddy Adu - the classic. Awesome on champ manager. Ridiculous hype. Turns out he is shít and is a free agent at 24.
Ryan Babel - Insane talent he was an outrageous natural athlete. Technique, pace, power but a touch big for his boots considering what he actually delivered. Now playing for Kasımpaşa - nuff said.
There will be loads more I'm sure.
