It's official - West Bromwich Albion are ranked 11th in the Top 50 Club rankings of all time (well, according to the Daily Mail anyway!)

Yes, we are ranked above The Dingles (=13th), Blouse (25th) Leeds (=13th), Derby (22nd), Forest (20th), Sjoke (16th) etc etc. As for Midlands clubs, only the Vile (8th) are above us.
Brilliant article in my opinion and once and for all confirms our rightful place above the lowly Dingles !

I think you're saying West Brom haven't won anything?

West Brom have never won anything of note. In fact many outside these shores have never heard of them. I was in Kuala Lumpur, at a time when Man Utd were playing a couple of games on tour, (and Malaysians love their football), and when I mentioned WBA, I just received blank faces. Wolves, they did know.

Sorry, Heis, can you show me where I said Baggies had won nothing?
I can't recall that at all.

That's interesting Bute, because Albion and Wolves have won exactly the same things, so I take it Wolves have never won anything of note.
Also interesting is the Kuala Lumpur reference. I talk to football-mad Arabs every day, and they haven't heard of anyone outside of the Premier League either. Not Wolverhampton Wanderers, not Derby County, not Nottingham Forest, no one.

Enjoy celebrating year after year of boring mediocrity.

Wolves and Albion will do exactly that, just in different divisions.

What the table actually shows is that Baggies have been better than Wolves at attracting Internet followers and improving their balance sheet while Wolves have been better than Baggies at actually winning things.

Like double-drop relegations?

Aries: 'I talk to football mad Arabs every day, and they haven't heard of anyone outside the Premier League . . .'
Really, Aries . . . Well, since the teams you mention have all played in the Premier League do all those Arabs you talk to every day have collective attacks of amnesia every time a team gets relegated?
Must have been very confusing for them as far as the Baggies were concerned a few years back . . . I remember the Baggies . . . Nope, never heard of 'em . . . Yep, them famous Baggies, massive Twitter following, average league position 15.326 . . . Baggies? Are they a new style in trousers?
Plus, you can't be football mad if all you know about is the Premiership. An obvious contradiction. Or if (to quote your good self) 'I can't get interested in the top of the Premiership.' Why's that mate?
Yes, Bomber . . . But we've still won more than you. No way round it, mate.
Hi, Heisenberg . . . Still waiting for you to show me where I said Baggies had won nothing . . . Or, maybe an apology . . . No?

Young Arabs will be the same as the Malays Bute claims he talks to on his travels. You know what kids are like - yesterday's PL teams are today's forgotten men. No one in the Third World could name a single Championship club. They're only interested in who's in the PL. There's a Leicester supporter who claims there's a Leicester club shop at Bangkok airport doing great business selling Leicester shirts. Really? You watch that shop close down on the last day of this season when Leicester make the drop.
