In fact Swansea had THREE further managers - Martinez, Sousa, and Rodgers, before they eventually got promotion! Nice guy that he is, to give credit to KJ for establishing Swansea in the Premier League would be over generous, I feel.

Who gave him credit for getting to the prem?
I mentioned the path he set them on and said i hope the path he set us on results in a similar end result, an established premier league club.

...and what, exactly is an 'established' premier league club?

We might as well credit Colin Lee for setting things up for MM to win the Championship title!

I don't like it.
But it is the target.
A team who you don't consider a relegation candidate i guess.

This came from Gary Monk not long after Jackett left Swansea, seems he is on board.
“‘I think Kenny deserves a good reception. I don’t know if the fans ever really gave him their full backing during his time here, but I think the job he did put us on the road to success. If you look at his record compared to those of other managers at this club down the years, it’s a lot better than a lot of them. You can’t ignore that and I think it would be very harsh if he was to get booed. He did a lot of good things for this club and he deserves a decent welcome in return. The players have talked about it. We’ve all said the same thing, and I think the majority of fans will appreciate the job that he did..”

Hope he didn't get booed.
He definitely would have been better than a lot of the previous managers, I'd agree. I remember when they were Division 1 (Top Division), before. Martinez changed things around with his "continental style", and I imagine the the other subsequent managers would have stamped their style on the club, before they eventually got promotion.
