This Transfer Cannot Be Real

Wenger is not that tight.

Obviously some value is taken off by the fact he has to go and get shot in a couple of years time.

But still this is anything but marquee...

Well there goes any hope of ever signing Hazard

The Press Association reports that Arsenal have offered around £10 million for Park. The Gunners are, according to reports in France, also planning a €35 million offer for Lille starlet Eden Hazard and it remains to be seen whether this deal will have an affect on those negotiations.

all we've been doing this summer is trying to f@ck up Lille.

To me this smacks of a commercial deal. Y'know, snap up the South Korea captain, get ten million new fans in Asia.

I doubt Wenger would sign a player for this reason.

I know nothing about this player apart from what I've read today.

I am surprised we did not make a move for Honda rather than this guy.

Eh? Inamoto

Eh? Inamoto

How does that prove he is buying Park for financial reasons? Inamoto was eventually sold and we didn't replace him with another asian player anytime soon.

That type of accusation is always going to be leveled at any premier league manager who buys an asian player and its a little bit too cynical and quite disrespectful to the players involved.

I don't think Wenger would sign someone exclusively for shirt sales, but it may have been an enticement.

From what I can dig up, he's not that bad at all. Ferguson was openly after him a little while ago.

Plus, if he shows the usual Korean work rate he'll probably do ok. Seems to feed on through balls and one-on-ones.

The only question is, who's going to supply him (or anyone else for that matter)? Still no creative mid.......
