Has anyone else had a look at the BBC player ratings? How the hell has Barkley managed a 7 rating? I thought he was poor, ran into dead ends and should definitely have played Rooney in at one point.
Additionally, thought Kane should have got higher, managed to create 2 excellent chances for Walcott and Rooney as well as making Buffon work with a snapshot.

Thought it was harsh on Townsend to get only a 6. Phil McNulty gave Kane a 7 against Lithuania. They both didn't do a great deal besides scoring, only Townsend's was against better opposition, saved us from losing, and was a great strike.

Kane was average,Barkley's end product needs improving,but once he and Townsend were introduced Italy were on the back foot. Barkley did try and play Rooney in after his bursting run but it was intercepted.

Where did he try and play Rooney in..? He put his head down and just tried to run it as far as he could.
