Lucas Factor & team v Arsenal

Lucas has had 3 weeks worth of training behind him now since his injury. He needs to start against Arsenal. It is a must.

In Lucas’ last 18 appearances, Liverpool have lost just once - and even that was in extra time at Chelsea in the Capital One Cup.

We are a different team when he plays. The last time he played alongside Henderson he gave Hendo the freedom to take control of the midfield.

I would also start Markovic as Arsenal move he ball quickly so we need his pace as Can is not the fastest. We need Markovic's energy.

My team

------------------------------------Migs------------------------------------------

-------------------Can-----------Toure-------------Sakho-------------------

-----Markovic-----------Lucas------ Henderson-----------Moreno----

-----------------------------------Coutinho--------------------------------------

------------------------Sterling----------------Sturridge----------------------

Subs: Lovren, Allen, Lallana, Johnson, Jones

Think this could be a very exciting game. From an arsenal perspective we will probably line up like

.................Ospina ........

Bellerin........Per.....Kosc.....Nacho
.......................Coq..........
.Ramsey/Ozil................Cazorla

Welbeck/ Walcott..... Giroud....Sanchez

Subs : Wilshere, Arteta, Gibbs, Walcott, Ramsey or Ozil, Gabriel, Walcott or Welbeck

Forgot Oxlaide Chamberlain. Depending on fitness.

Sturidge and sterling will be a danger

Sturidge if he is available won't be at 100%. It's a risk to play him.

Wenger on the other hand have a real problem to find the right team line-up for that game. Can't wait.

Very attacking team if Ozil plays over Ramsey. You'd have 5 players who are very attack minded. I'd have thought Ramsey has to play to bring a touch of balance?

Like the OP's team, which would probably see us focus our attack through the front 3 (Marko and Moreno being somewhat more balanced in their attack/defence duty).

My only comment would be I think Liverpool might target the full backs. I've never been overly convinced by Monreal when I've seen him. Sound tackler but not particularly quick or positionally astute. Maybe I've just not seen him enough. Bellerin I have been impressed with so far but he's young and inexperienced, wouldn't surprise me if we target him early and try and get him to do something rash and take a yellow.

We might put Sterling and Cout wide to test the FB's and leave Sturridge to occupy the 2 CB's.

I fear Ramsey and Cazorla in the Arsenal team.

Ramsey has hit some form after a bad year. Started scoring recently and scored a cracker last season against us.

Cazorla always plays well/scores against us.

If we don't score first we could get a beating.

I'm hoping gibbs will start as he is considerably quicker than monreal

i hope gibbs starts and plays like he did last night

Gibbs can look like the next Ashley Cole in one game to Djimi Traore in the next game.

He was pretty solid last night so I agree
