Game of Thrones/ASOIAF

I watched one episode of the TV show and it was a massive disappointment. Not been as disappointed with any kind of adaptation as I was with the tv show.

I listened to the first audiobook and it was ok, but nothing spectacular. I'd probably listen to the others if I was on a long journey or something - but I'd rather read them.

Can't stress enough how poor the TV show was (that said, I last watched it about 3 years ago, so maybe it isn't as bad as I thought)

It's definitely a series that gets better as it goes - though the pinnacle for me was book 12. Loved it.

What do you guys think of the new season? I like the changes they have made with Sansa. I hope she does not face the same fate as poor Jeyne though. Also, why is Little Finger going to Cersi when she probably knows he has Sansa.

I do not think he is taking her to Cersi. He is leaving her in Winterfell with the Boltons and he is heading down South because Cersi has requested him to come to KL "immediately". It just does not make sense though.

Quite interested to see what way Sansa's storyline goes, haven't really liked the character for the first few seasons but hopefully she will play a bigger part from now on.

Glad Bran isn't in this season, only part of the show which I didn't like.

The sansa and baelish stuff is ahead of the books now so it's a bit unknown but no way is he giving sansa to anyone

She's his ticket into the big leagues and he fancies the pants off her

Have you guys read Sansa's chapter from Winds of Winter that was released last week? It is completely different to what she is doing in season 5. No one besides LF knows her identity (may the mad mouse does who is Varys's informant otherwise why would he be in the Vale?). However, in the show everyone that comes across her knows - those Vale lords from last season, Brienne and now the North. Cersi is going to know soon Sansa with the help of LF is marrying Ramsay Bolton and she will not be happy with that. I want to see how he is going to get away with it.

Bran has no book material may be that is why he is not in this season.
