From a very biased point of view, and I'm not saying hes one of the great ever, but I'd argue that Santi Cazorla deserves a mention with current players. Very few in world football are as ambidextrous as he at set pieces - its effortless.

Beckham at Man Utd used to score 1 in 3 at freekicks for us. Messi is only a bit better then C.Ronaldo at freekicks though that Juninho from Lyon was amazing to.

best free kicker takers i've ever seen in terms of goals scored/free kick ratio, has to be

ronaldo has hardly scored a freekick for madrid in 2 seasons

his freekick taking ability is overrated

Hristo Stoichkov was demonstrably better than many on this list.
