Bloodborne complete

Finally managed to complete bloodborne the main final boss was a right pain to defeat but after numerous attempts I did it. Now onto new game +
Personally I found the dark souls games better.
I managed to solo 13 of bloodbornes 16 bosses quite comfortably. Always found a lot of the bosses in the dark souls game too challenging to take on by myself!
That's not to say I didn't enjoy it and I definitely recommend it if you liked the souls games.
I did find the summoning of players to help a bit more finicky though. Had to wait ages at some points for players to show up

Managed to solo blood starved beast on new game Plus. You have to be really patient when he gets to half health as he gets more aggressive and does a move where he emits poison for a short while. Time your dodges and get the odd swipe in.
I'm now level 125

Just bought Bloodborne a few days ago, haven't played it yet but just wondering what starting class and weapon should I use?

I've heard that Ludwig's Holy Blade is the best weapon in the game and I'm thinking of focusing my build around getting the best out of the weapon. Apparently, putting your points on Arcane makes the weapon so much better than just Strength/Skill.

Any suggestions?

I got through the game and most of NG+ using the standard but fully upgraded (eventually) sword axe
