Sign him up Jose.

i do agree hes a good striker but theres a lot to improve on and judging by this season he's not going to get the time to do so, whilst Remy is proving himself useful in all types of games when given the chance.
I think it would be unnecessary to replace him personally, unless he's wanting to leave, but in that case we need someone suited to scoring goals in a tightly packed game, because its clearly something we are struggling with, the chances are there, they just aren't being taken

Kev I've done a few Benteke articles over the years and whenever I did one I always get told from all angles that there was no need to buy him because we had Lukaku and he was supposedly going to become brilliant for us etc.
While I still rate a fully fit Benteke very highly I've changed my mind on wanting him at Chelsea and that is purely down to his woeful injury record.
The guy hasn't been able to stay fit for hardly any length of time over the last two or three seasons.
In Costa we potentially already have a player who is consistently going to have hamstring problems so why bring in another striker with an even worse injury record??

Superb - just an option. From what I have seen when fit, he is very good, with the potential to be a top player. He is still young, and given his injury record over the past couple of seasons he would definitely go for less than what he is worth. It's a risk, just like it was a risk to buy Bony when he was in the dutch league, or to buy Aguero over a PL proven Torres. I think Benteke's injury is just bad luck injuries, nothing recurring like Costa's with hamstring.

The asking price a season or two ago for Benteke was about 30 million. It may have dropped a bit since then but it would still be too much to pay for a second choice striker.
Remy was bought at an excellent price much more in accordance with what we should pay for a second choice and so far he's been an excellent value for money signing.
As said above we just need someone to replace Drogba as 3rd choice striker and I'd be more than happy if it was Bamford.

We'll be bringing in a new striker this summer. Our 3rd choice striker should be a target man. Someone we can play it long to/Someone who can bring it down and play others in/Someone who we can launch crosses into/Someone who we can bring on to give us that plan B.
I fear if we get this sort of striker Remy will be 3rd choice or on his way out. Benteke is that sort of striker but I think we'll look for cheaper options.

Costa, Remy and Bamford as our three strikers next season does it for me.

Yep. Little choice having 3 good strikers. Only one plays at a time. Invest in goalscoring attacking midfielders instead
