It is clear spurs need a new striker in the summer. Hopefully one with Premier League experience as we don't want to go down the Soldado route so which Striker out of the mentioned would most of us want. I think all 4 a realistic transfer targets. I think my preference is Barahino but I would be happy with any of them.
Austin,Berahino,Ings or Benteke?

"Why is Charlie Austin any more likely than the rest to struggle at a big club? This isn't the first time I've heard this and there doesn't appear to be any reasoning behind it other than people simply not rating him as much as the rest."

Because he's very bad a football? That would be my guess.

But why do people think he's bad, that's what I want to know. Scores 17 goals and gets 6 assists in his first PL season and people deduce that he's a bad footballer?

Now not all of that is completely true is it? I don't think you could look at his goal vs Southampton and say that was scored through a lack of technical ability.
Even if it were all true, what about his movement in the box, or his finishing and scoring, which is his most important job? If it does turn out to be a purple patch in a bad player's career and he follows it next season with a lack of goals then fair enough. For now he can only be judged on his current form.

Austin scored goal of the season for me.
Yet I don't think he is the type of striker who transitions into the 'next level' well. Being a good finisher is fine for the lower half teams, but we would need a player who is a more competent passer and more intelligent off the ball.

Pretty much what Cole was told when he got to United. Goal-hanging wasn't enough.

And Cole didn't do too badly at United.
Any of these players could fail at a bigger club. It's as much about how you play to their strengths or how much they're willing to play to yours and mentally step up.

No he didn't do bad. He would have if he'd played exactly how he did at Newcastle though.

Austin isn't Andy Cole circa 1995 though. He is a pretty physical centre forward, who is more than capable of holding the ball up, yet is still a good finisher.
What I like about him is he has consistently scored goals for whatever team he has played for, in whatever division they play in - and he's had several clubs across several divisions. I don't think he's looked out of place at all in this division either.
Would he suit Poch's style? I'd point you to Rickie Lambert for the answer to that.

I agree, Walcott is a shiitte player and he scores a few goals, Ozil though is a shiitte player, and he hardly ever scores. There is a Shiite and and there is shitte.
