This summer I'd like to see us buy whoever we choose. Alexis and Ozil took our club to a new level, but both were available. The statement was in the fees we paid.
Lets force a club to sell up this time. Players like Cech or Javi Martinez aren't going to be offered to us on a plate but with a strong hand we can force the issue.
Pep won't like the thought of Javi leaving but could a starting berth in his favoured position trump playing CB or DM on rotation? I won't hold my breath on that tbh.
Cabaye would be a good signing. We missed out on him last time. Effectively would be our new Arteta.
The Next Statement of Intent

Cabaye was a footnote. Not suggesting he could be that player. Would be an ideal squad member.
Pogba is too similar to Ramsey, so don't see us breaking the bank. Especially if Barca are sniffing around. Kondogbia could happen but I doubt it. Still reckon Arsene wants a playmaker at the base (would he try and mould Gundogan?)

With the stats of Walcott and the aim is to build a trophy winning squad then keeping him is a must. With him signing a new contract recently also not sure how available Reus is anymore and by getting Coeantro who will be getting rid of Gibbs or Monreal who although neither are world beaters that is an area in our squad that is not high priority.

Think our big money buy will be a left winger/wide attacker. A glaring miss in our squad. Some names have already been thrown into the mix for this role.
Think we need a CB, a youngish one with a bit of experience. Mertesacker will probably see next season out with us but after that I don't think so. Koscielny is not far behind (his niggling Achilles injury may mean he will not be a 33/34 effective CB). While we have Chambers to mould, I think one more.
Throwing a name out for the sake of it... Samuel Umtiti (U21, Lyon regular).
I would, like most, want to see a DM. However I have massive doubts Wenger will. We have Arteta, Coquelin, Wilshere, Ramsey and it is not really Wengers way to add even more competition. Plus he also sees Ox as a CM, and has just invested in Bielik for the longer term.
Still need a striker as well. Giroud with Welbeck, Alexis and Walcott as back up is not enough.
Don't see Wenger going for a keeper, RB, LB, CM, RW or ACM this summer, unless players force moves.

If we don't sell any big players we will Max bring in one or two players

At the most we need 4 signings, GK, CB, DM and ST. I think the general consensus is Cech for the goalkeeper role which would not be a bank breaker which means we could invest quite heavily in the other 3 positions to give us a competitive squad and also allow us to get rid of Flamini, Diaby, Rosicky, Arteta, Podolski, Sanogo (most likely on loan) and maybe even Campbell. In combined transfer fees and saving on wages it would be feasible to make 3 £20M signings and our squad will suddenly be one to be reckoned with.

Dybala would be a good signing. Bats, Kane is a fraud but if we brought a player that had a similar season like his we'd be pretty happy with it tbh.
If we want to force the issue then Pogba is my shout would be a hell of a buy or Varane

I'd keep Arteta for one more year he'd be an asset next to a proper DM he's better from deep than Santi imo

Plus I don't want Merts getting the armband permanently, no way

we tried forcing Liverpool to sell suarez, we didn't look to good at it!!
Not many players can improve our team now, the only person I would be excited to see would be pogba, but we have too many centre midfielders at the moment anyway!!

For Arsenal, the next SOI should be:
Antoine Griezmann.
