Brewers Match Predictor (42): Luton

Amazing to think that the last time we conceded more than a solitary goal in a league game was Carlisle away on 21st October. Will that change on Saturday? Luton have lost their last 3 home games 2-3.

Luton have play off ambitions so it will be a bit like the Plymouth trip last week in that respect. Will we get the same result?

Hopefully JFH will have the guys fired up now that promotion is within our grasp, so I think we'll nick it:

The first cup final I saw on TV was Luton v Nottingham Forest. It was 1959 and they were in the First Division. Forest won 2-1. The screen was about 9 inches, grainy black and white picture of course.

They will be desperate to make the play offs so...

Hatters 1-0 Brewers

Hope I'm wrong but whatever the outcome I'm sure Brewers will be playing League 1 football next season.

Alas I think we will lose 2-1 but we won't be too downhearted. I'd better get going if I am to see it though.

I am confident that we will show our class today and spoil the Luton party. Brewers to win 2.0.☺

Yesterday whilst watching the game I thought of a recurring theme throughout the season. That is the countless number of times I have seen the opposition have many chances to take the lead against us - and not taken them. Home and away this happens. It was no different yesterday.

We don't create that many chances but we do take them when they arise. Ruthless.

When GR was our manager we were very defensive, when we scored the first goal. We also made a few chances each game, but never seemed to have that killer clinical finish.
The big difference under JFH is the Brewers never seem to give up on a game and keep trying for the full 90 + minutes. No doubt about it JFH has given our players a few lessons on how to be clinical when you get your chances.

Roll on Wednesday !!!
