Freedman

New contract apparently agreed. Everyone seems fairly positive but I must admit I'm sceptical.
Obviously has had a a good start. New manager bounce though? Davies won his first seven (second spell) Pearce took 17 points from his first seven games, Dougie has had a great start (although no wins in 3).
I'm cautious because once the honeymoon period is over which it is now the we will find out what he's really made of.
Another area for concern is how we've got the wins. Happy to sacrifice possession against Boro and Bournemouth at home, I think Bournemouth had over 70% possession at our place. Also at Brentford on Monday there was only one team trying to play football. We must have played 30+ long balls! don't think Darlow played it short to his full backs once, whereas Brentford tried to play at every opportunity. In my opinion in order for us to move forward we need to start to dominate games, possession etc. There's no future winning the way we've been winning, defending deep and counter attacking and I wouldn't expect us to get in the top six next season unless we are more confident in possession.
Just my observations. I do think Freedman deserves a crack at it but the way to get promotion is to play football. All of the top six this season like to dominate possession which is the way to go.
