Let's hope Lennon can sort it for next season, without having to spend any money.

With so many players either not good enough or out of contract there are very few in the squad we will see in a Bolton shirt next season.

I have said this before, to have any success next season three things must happen.
1. Three or four very good cheap/free acquisitions that turn out to be quality from Lennon.
2. A much better record on injuries
3. At least 2 more youth lads make the step up with Clough, Walker and Vela.

Its the lack of finance that is killing us. Just hope there are some good bosmans out there this summer. More loans and free signings unfortunately. At least on the bright side we are not wigan.

re: getting 2 more youngsters into the side. Well for the second Saturday on the bounce, Liam Fenney's performance in a Bolton shirt was dire. Surely to goodness there is someone in the reserves who can actually run and accurately cross a ball

Feeney is an out and out right winger and does a decent job to the best of his limited ability. Playing wing back is too much for him. Today he had dervite behind him on the right hand side of defence constantly making mistakes so he struggle to get forward as he was constantly having to drop back to cover. I think janko is a more natural in that position.

Benny don't disagree, but surely a winger should be capable of crossing a ball?

Seen the goals again on ssn. Vela turned his back to the free kick-his fault. Ream showed why he is not a good centre back by getting beat in the air to the long ball that led to the winner. That goal does not happen with a mills or Mccarthy in there.

Neil Lennon is fuming in his post match interview.
Highlights include: getting stuck in to Tom Walker for turning his back on the wall for the free kick goal - praising his play but saying he tires about the hour mark and this need addressing.
Says the defending for their winner was Criminal and we've got a lot of work ahead to change to how he want's it to be. If he must change personnell to sort this then "so be it"
There is "no consolation" in taking Norwich (who he called the best in the league) close and they will be thinking they nicked one today.
Matt Mills news - Rolled his ancle in training - failed a late fitness test today but will be back on Tuesday.
My thoughts:
Thought we were lost little kids during the first half. Jerome was bullying us something chronic - Little by little as the game drew on he lost a bit of influence.
There are times we look amazing on the ball with Walker, Bannan and Vela in particular moving it about with fast feet. However, far too often we lose the ball in our own half making the wrong decision in either making a quick pass or trying too hard to take the man on.
I do like Le Fondre. He's a menace to defenders you can see he's always trying to create himself a bit of space in going up to defenders and running off them.
We did look dangerous second half but I do not recall Ruddy having to make a proper save other than catching high balls.

There was consolation for me however. I missed my dinner and took my life in my own hands by getting a burger and a coffee under the stand pre-match. Cost me £2.80. As Coffee is £2 then my burger cost 80p (it's normally £3.70).
