to defeat the top two in the premiership, Chelsea and Arsenal was
Tottenham Hotspur
Pity they couldn`t beat anybody else.
It`s a fact, the last team

It matters to me hence why I said it. It is possible for teams to succeed by playing entertaining and attractive football, which is what I like to see and what I respect.

Yes it does.

I dunno how you can say 'how you do it does not matter' then go on to berate Chelsea for parking the bus. Of course it matters, which is why people (me included) loved watching J.J. Okocha over some of the other players in the league at the time.

I don`t think you will find I have ever said that parking the bus is wrong, most teams do it at some time or the other. Football is a results business. Results first, entertainment second. That is the reason most of Spurs games have been been bereft of entertainment, because the games have been too tight right up to the 90th minute.

There's been more entertainment in the first 30 mins between United and City than the 4 or 5 times I've suffered watching Chelsea this season. You could argue that neither team are top of the league, but that doesn't mean it's not possible to entertain and win the major trophies.

Whatever. In the ideal world teams can entertain and be successful. I should know I saw the Spurs double team. But a lot of teams will grind out results to get exactly the same final end result. Arsenal won the double in 1971 with an incredibly dull and boring team, but they still won it.

I'm not disputing that there are different ways to win. My point is that I respect teams who win trophies by playing entertaining football.

Pisses me off that City were catchable yet we played our last 2 games like top 4 hopes were over and ended up with 1 point out of a possible 6. Even getting 4 points would have given us half a chance.

Next up Newcastle, who after tomorrows inevitable loss at Klanfield will be looking to get back on track in front of their own fans.
Step forward Rottenham Hotspur, just the sort of team Newcastle will be rubbing their hands at facing to give their fans something to cheer.
