It will make them weaker in my opinion. It's not like they will just rock up in Turin and sign Pogba. Clubs like PSG, Real & Chelsea are ahead of them in the queue & they will struggle to get a player that can even play half aswell as the Ivorian.
Toure is comfortably streets ahead of all central midfielders in the premiership especially in the final third of the pitch. I can't think of any central midfielder that even comes close.
Imagine if Jose was to sign Toure and play him in Oscars position! Wouldn't he be the player to give them the X factor and goals they need from midfield? Quite a few short memories in football. When city's bad run started Yaya was in Africa playing AFCON and most pundits said the team missed him. Now that he is back and not in great form they blame him for the teams poor form. When has Yaya ever tracked back or played well defensively? It's like Gary Neville having a go at Ozil for not tracking back. Now that he is not scoring or making assists it is now a problem.
If City sell Yaya they will only have 2 world class players in attacking positions and that will bring them down a level or 2. If they also flog Nasri as some have suggested I could see them struggle to even get into the top 4.
That makes things easier for us in our quest to win the title as we realistically have to worry about chelsea and man united. I rate liverpool but if they are in europa I can't see how they can maintain a campaign for the title.
Who would have thought things would unravel at city in this fashion. Certain players at city escape criticism even though they are playing well below par. I thought Zabaleta was at fault for 2 of united's goals which is par for the course for his poor form this season and Aguero despite the 2 goals made some poor decisions when in good positions throughout the game.
They have made some poor signings but players like Nasri, Mangala & Milner are still good players. No need to rip the squad apart. Just get another manager.
Either way I hope they cull the squad as it will make them weaker in my opinion.
I hope City sell Toure

We can't afford Toure

Toure is top class, suffering from not wanting to be there. You could say age is catching up, but he is going to be 32 by end of season, which is hardly old nowadays. Still got about 3 years left at top level.
Arsenal don't need him though, maybe Juve can get him for Pogba replacement.

Maybe the guy is burnt out and need a rest?
Played immense last season
Played World Cup
Started the PL Season ok
African Nation (Which Ivory Coast Won)
Put back into a struggling City Side who had completely lost it while he was gone.

His brother died last June. He has been poor ever since.
I think that this is a bigger contributor then fatigue. He looks like he can't be bothered with football anymore.
He has won the PL, CL, La Liga, FA Cup and ACoN.
My impression is he's finished.
He's had a great career though.
