I have a little more time and so I will do a much longer piece for this game, the penultimate home game of the season. After this we have the final game of the season at home to Sunny Scunny.
It would appear that Rovers and Fleetwood have very different, but similar problems. We all know too well how bad the home form has been at the Keepmoat over the last few years, whoever was manager, but according to Steven Shumaker of Fleetwood they have a problem winning away.
Looks as though this game could be a certain banker draw.
It was good to see us get another away win at Leyton Orient on Tuesday night although from the commentary, mainly theirs, the first half lasted for two and a half hours, or just seemed like that. That was until Corporal Jones got on the end of a corner from Kyle Bennett and headed home the winner.
There is debate about where we all thought we would end the season and in my mind we are too good a team to not make the playoffs, let alone automatic promotion. For some reason which I cannot fathom, we have home supporters who are very critical of players and this leads to a poor atmosphere at the Keepmoat. Away from home the support seems totally different.
This is the one thing I think the manager needs to focus on for next season. Produce better football at home and build up a fortress situation which will stop the naysayers from being heard. The next thing is we MUST score more goals.
It has been obvious this season that we have created enough chances to have won most games, the problem has been strikers who have missed many easy chances and therefore we have lost games we should have won. Oh for Jeffrey and Sheffield or Kitchen/Elwiss and O'Callaghan to
re-emerge and put thirty to forty goals together. We also need the midfield to contribute far more than they have.
Let's hope we can score more than Fleetwood and they keep their poor away record going, it would be nice to see us win the final two home games to give some impetus and hope for next season.
Enjoy the game.

Full time 0-0 I don't think there would have been a goal if they carried on playing till midnight. Typical end of season.

Think you're right Lanza.
Absolute snore fest yesterday by all accounts typical end of season game and all Dicked can say is we wanted to remain unbeaten till the end of the season so this goes towards that! More like remain unbeaten so my percentage of defeats doesn't overtake the win and draw column more like!

Jones reborn! For the first time this season the defence looked rock solid. The new bloke at RB Lund looked extremely composed. Poor Copps had a shocker and Wellans looks to be running on empty. Typical lung-bursting stuff from Furman and Bennett is showing real creative promise. Tyson is worth keeping but as for the rest........
