I've been telling myself for weeks that all these bargin (but possibly ok) signings are just us saving for a big money buy, but the way we have been snubbed by Mata and Benzema and maybe Hazard is so gutting and I now don't think we will get that big name. I think the best we can hope for is Cahill and a reasonable midfielder like Lucas Biglia. Sorry not to be in a positive mood, but the more I look at this the more I doubt our ambition. At least we know any big deal will go through last minute so we can still hope

It's true, Gervinho is exciting, but as a team we just don't really have enough of those players...I would still have had Wenger not buy a playmaker, but a really top striker and drop Robin back to attacking mid, which is where he normally plays anyway!

Suarez is an exciting player. But he is also a very dirty player who is being given a pass because he has been signed by Liverpool and Chequebook Kenny. Why wasn't he carded in the 46th min yesterday, when he ran to the box and then fell down immediately with the Bolton defender about 3 yards away. The ref just smiled and awarded a free kick to Bolton. I thought diving in the box was a yellow card offense. Or is that only for Arsenal players?
