Albion head to the 'deep sarf' this weekend in search of points for survival. Seven goals conceded against the bottom two clubs, God help us against this lot. Pace, creativity, players who play in their correct positions. Everything we don't.
Our opponents should be well up for this after Pulis's departure earlier in the season. Palace's synchronised choirboys will be all over this and I can see us folding under the pressure and hostility.
Nonetheless 2,800 Albion will descend on the capital. Admirable. Perhaps Pulis can park one of those free coaches in front of our goal?
Team news: McManaman could be fit. Ideye should also recover.
Prediction: We will lose. Badly

Which bit? Pulis out or my comment about Palace?
I really can't see myself bothering next season if Pulis is still in charge!

I'm told we will be much better next season once Pulis has assembled 'his' squad.
We'll see.

The football is no worse than that under Irvine, mel or Clarkes last year

I think thats the problem OOA. We expected it to be better...and it's not.
We will probably scrape survival and Pulis's record will remain intact...never been relegated, but boy, do we look pretty schite most of the time?
I'm not sure for how many seasons we can be this bad and keep surviving? 36 points is pretty disgraceful given the 'total rebuild' we had after Mel.
Disgruntled.

Problem being the "total rebuild" was horrendous.
Only Lescott has improved the team, and that's not by a mile.
None of the other summer signings have done anything really
We need some proper investment in the summer, to build on a solid but unspectacular squad

I'd refute whether performances have been no worse. The home games against Leicester and QPR were amongst the worst i've seen for some time. And what about some of the negative away performances? Matches where we've been playing beatable teams but have flatly refused to even enter their half of the pitch!
As for this summer's signings. This worries me even more. Pulis clearly tried to sign Carlton Cole in January. If Cole is Pulis's idea of an improvement then we're in for a tough time.

From the same script you could suggest the West Ham win was one of the best performances in years
Either way Pulis was brought here to keep us up, and he (almost certainly) has done that. This wasn't the time to try to play teams off the park, especially with our side lacking quality in the final third.
If from the start of next season we start playing for draws at home to the likes of leicester then it'll be fair to be critical. But that's a long way away. It's a big summer ahead no doubt
