....and the media's hypocrisy.
Yesterday Arsenal were criticized for being undeserved winners against Reading because we were very poor and lucky but ground out a result to progress to the FA cup final. Shearer and the BBC panel looked miffed and focused on how poor Arsenal were even though we won.
Today Liverpool were poor and ended up losing convincingly to Aston Villa. The whole BT sport panel looked depressed especially Owen.
What would the reaction from the media be like right now if Liverpool despite playing poor scored right at the end through keeper error like we did but went on to win on penalty's?
A: Would it be a media pro Liverpool master class performance and Gerrard deserves to go to Wembley on his birthday wa*kfest while AV concede sloppy goal?
or
B: (very unlikely) Say Liverpool were lucky to win, undeserved highlighting how poor they were and spend 10 minutes analysing how great Benteke's goal was against them?
(Basically what they did to Arsenal)
Aston Villa aren't getting much praise today because it's Liverpool who lost but I can bet if it were Arsenal they beat today we wouldn't hear the last of it from the media.
Undeservedly winning ugly vs Losing pretty

How were we undeserved winners? We created plenty of chances, hit the woodwork 3 times.
We were lucky in that our profligacy wasn't punished. But u.deserved winners? Hell no.

BTW Chelsea goal came from a knockout on Falcao by JT. They created only 1 chance in whole game and that was by player who should have been sent off for a 2nd yellow in Drogba as he studded our player first half and somehow didn't get yellow then gets a yellow 2nd half just before Drogba nearly scores before Hazard nearly scores rebound so in effect Chelsea could easily have created 0 chances against a Man utd side defensively ravaged in defensive midfield and defence.

Falcao needed to man up. He was probably thinking about his shots on target

alcao has missed about 10 good chances this season, no wonder LVG is relucatant to even put him the squad as he has been shocking at finishing. I think he has the worst chance conversion rate of all our strikers.

So you're telling me he doesn't get shots on target?

Didn't see the analysis on our match but watching the 'post mortem' on BT was hilarious. They were genuinely distraught Liverpool did not win.

was it because they love Liverpool or because they were afraid that Arsenal might win the cup again?!

Arsenal were not undeserved winners - they weren't as good as they should have been but that's a different thing altogether - on the balance of play and chances created it was the right result
