Losing 1 0 to the 2nd best team in Scotland in their own midden on the face of it doesn't seem to be all that bad a result.
But none of the United supporters I've spoken to expected anything different and even worse have lost any interest in the rest of the season.
The chances of us winning another game is probably remote and to finish the season with a home defeat from Dundee would be hard to take.
For me Jackie should go now and if not voluntarily then Thompson should make the decision.
Given the support on Saturday it's clear he's now lost the support as well as probably the players.
He now appears to be going through the motions and picking a team more in hope than expectation.
Was the young lad Christie for Caley not an example of giving a young player game time and giving him time to develope in the team.
Where were our young players in the cup final.
If Jackie does turn things round then I'll be the first in the queue for the humble pie.
What now United ?

old shed boy
I've been avoiding talking about United all day on here.
And off here.
I'm certainly one of those who have lost interest. I just want the season over. I'll obviously still go to the home games but I can't see me going to St Johnstone and certainly not up to Inverness (unless I'm working up that way, which is unlikely).
I listened in on the radio though. We were by all accounts awful. Lacking any quality.
Bilate injured again.
Hard to find any positives.

I can't explain why it amuses me so much. There's so many people that speak Queens English in a certain part of Harrogate, I just enjoy learning a bit of colloquial language

Hard to guess what might be next. Three tricky away matches and two difficult home games, plus the derby which is usually fairly unpredictable.
Be surprised if the manager AND the chairmen are both still here in the summer, who goes first though is anybody's guess.
It's difficult to be enthusiastic about it all just now which isn't ideal for anyone - especially given that the season ticket renewal stuff should be on its way any time now I guess.

I'm stuck between a rock and a hard place, I want to win my bet with Ivan but Celtic play Dundee twice over the next 10 days, if we win both then Dundee will be at least 5 behind United who will also have one game more.
That said, United's remaining games all look tricky and it wouldn't surprise me if the last game of the season, the derby is a winner takes all
