Senna never got a M.B.E. THO.......................

When he raced at Chimay the downhill sweeps on the street circuit were so frightening that he did as he had been trained in the Paras and screamed as loud as he could.
There's the Lauda rabbit story from Zolder 77. I've forgotten the details but there was an argument that Purley stopped Lauda from lapping him and caused him to spin. Lauda was called "The Rat" and after this little contretemps Purley either called himself or was named, "The Rabbit" and raced with a white rabbit painted on his Lec.

Anybody who saw the 73 Dutch was deeply moved and upset by his heroic failure.

Purley was awarded the George Medal, the country's highest award in civilian life, for his bravery at Zandvoort.

By the way, he was entered for the British Grand Prix in 1977 and started practice, but had a very serious accident and never qualified or raced.

Irish ridicules people for quoting from the sources that he quotes from.

I have never claimed that any driver was a GOAT.

I have watched F1 since 1961 and I do not need a poll to tell me which drivers are great. I have watched them. I decide for myself.

Perhaps you should try it yourself.

No you never claimed Purley was the G.O.A.T. But you listed him as a better driver than Senna. How so?
Brave man that he was, there is no way you could put him in Senna's league.

BTW. Which ' source ' did I quote from?????
