This is beyond farcical. I've been watching boxing for nearly 30 years and I've seen some strange things in that time but the problems we've encountered in trying to get these two in the ring together blows everything else out of the water.

Let's hope that this is just a hiccup as I just don't see how the fight can't happen at this stage although anything is possible when it comes to a fight between these two.

If they do actually fight on May 2nd I'm starting to fear that the fight itself might be just as farcical and controversial as everything we've seen in the 6 year build up to the event itself.

This tells me you are sceptical about whether or not the fight will happen just like you so fervently claimed that the fight would never happen.

My post is very clear, especially if you understand the context, which was that up until then no tickets had been issued and we were being told that the venue contract to stage the fight at the MGM had not even been signed yet.

The fact that I think the fight will go ahead is extremely clearly expressed in the sentence where I said "I just don't see how the fight can't happen at this stage".

When I said " if they do fight" it was said more in sarcasm and exasperation at yet another problem or issue that we've encountered in the six years that it's taken to get these two in the ring.
