On this board I've been hearing a lot of things against Lampard and quite frankly I think the majority is wrong and unfair. However I don't want to get into that argument.
Anyway I was just thinking what if Lamps had missed that penalty and how much he would have been slated on this board. You must give him credit as he had a long time to wait to take the penalty and was under a lot of pressure so credit to Lamps!

Lampard is a fantastic passer of the ball. Pair him with a creative midfielder like Modric or Moutinho and then we'll see how vital his role is.

I and others have been saying all summer Frank on the bench.
That last 20 mins today must surely indicate to AVB how the new team will take shape.
