LVG asked abt De Gea's contract talks earlier. He said:"It takes a long time now...I want him to stay... We have offered him a lot of money"
LVG on DDG ctnd "The player is the boss. He can say yes or no. You will have to ask David de Gea (if he is staying), not me. He has to sign"

Well its out there publicly and officially now.
Up to you,David.

Almost similar length to Sterling.. think Sterling has a further 5 months or something.
Wonder if Madrid want to do a double deal.
If de gea doesn't sign this contract then he is off. Same with Sterling, if he doesn't sign in early summer he is off too.

It has been all season - we haven't only just offered DDG a lucrative deal, he has been stalling on it all year.
I'm not as fussed as most - if it is true that Real are prepared to offer £50m and DDG wants to leave then I'd take the money (and/or Bale) and say farewell.
I'm just glad that people finally seem to have stopped blaming the club/manager for not signing him up yet. It is obviously his call.

Yep.
It seems the 'United way' now - players holding us to ransom. Ridiculous really.
Simple, put a clock on the offer. If he doesn't accept it, withdraw it and make sure we get a good deal from Real.

I agree TRC. Hopefully once we secure CL football we can start to more easily call the shots.
It's an exciting time at United at the moment and we shouldn't be pandering to any player who does not want to be a part of it.

If United could get a straight player swap, Bale for De Gea they would be crazy not to take it, assuming that Bale would go along.

No chance of that happening.
