Poch has more or less said he does

not want Europa football next season as he said it hampered the side this season. If that is the case then I don't want him as manager. It absolutely disgusts me to think any manager of Spurs could just dismiss a competition that Spurs are being entered in.

What the feeeck managers like Billy Nicholson and Keith Burkinshaw would think of a manager of our great club that is not interested in the club playing European football. This CL and top four obsession is going too far now. I just don't get it.

No you wont and we both know it. I never make up anything but as soon as I disagree with you I get the same treatment sandy has got. In fact if anybody disagrees with you they get it, just ask chicken.

Firstly the Europa is vital to the club particularly to the fans.

Without the Europa our fans will not have a great excuse for why we play total crap at times. This is something that is vital to our club because it allows them to avoid taking a good look at our players/ coaches/ manager etc. and accepting that at times they are damned awful.

We will no longer have an excuse for being crap in cup finals and we will no longer have an excuse for not getting into the top 4.

That simply cannot be allowed to happen because without the vital excuse of the Europa we would have to look long and hard for other excuses and we are far to busy for that.

Its also vital to our younger fans who genuinely believe that playing twice a week is totally exhausting.

How pool managed it back in the 80's when winning leagues and European cups still reamins a total mystery as they did it with a squad of about 15 players which included the likes of Sammy Lee

The fact that the pitches were heavier, the ball was heavier, players were allowed to kick the crap out of other players and there were more league games in a season is just unexplainable.

Unless?.............................................................

In those days the game was not played by a bunch of fairy prima donna who only really care about the money but by men that actually gave their heart and soul EVERY game.

Nah it could not possibly be that

this reply might actually be relevant if you were talking to a spurs fan who doesn't want europa league..

i have already clearly stated (numerous times) that i would rather be in europe than out of it

in my opinion spurs should always aim to be playing european football.

as for chicken, he doesn't count as its like debating with a child who cannot read simple responses.

Oh so it was me that said that the Europa League had hindered Spurs in the league this season. it was me that said another season in the Europa league would not be ideal.

Poch's quotes, not mine, you best have a word with him not me.

it is clear as mud that he does not want Europa from his quotes, only an idiot would disagree with that.

"After my experiences of last year it's tough to play in the Europa League," he said. "I prefer to play in the Champions League but if you reach the Europa League it's good for the club.

"If we reach the Europa League next season, we must try and do better and fight for the top four and to try and win the Europa League, but it is not my dream."

His dream is CL, not Europa...as is the same with just about any football fan, player or manager. I can't see anything wrong with that.

He concedes EL is a tough competition but accepts it is good for the club to be there. Nope, I can't see anything contentious there either.

It's generally accepted that EL has an effect on form, there have been enough stats published to show it. Travelling to the ar.se end of nowhere and playing on a ploughed field isn't exactly ideal preparation for a Sunday game. Phil Neville explained his thoughts recently, Brendan Rodgers last year said he had a full week to prepare for game because there was no midweek match. In neither case did they state it was because 'players can't play twice in a week'. And yet we still get the same old tired bollox spouted on here.

I don't know what the mud is like your way, but you might find it would do your argument more good if it was as clear as crystal
