Looks like any hope for a scary game has been squashed. Its disappointing since Guillermo Del Toro was producing this. Apparently there have been problems within Konami recently which have led to this.

Once again next gen systems failing to show exactly why their new systems are worthwhile to anyone. This time around I feel they are more or less just slight upgrades on last gen with even worse game support. Too caught up in providing apps when everyone already has them on their phone or tablets.

Anyway Loads of demos/games need to be cleared before you play them. If they remove the demo it most likely will also remove the ability to get cleared rendering the demo useless.

If you have the PT demo downloaded you are good to go anytime even if it's no longer available, the only question mark there may be is the mess that cancelling Silent Hills has created may mean it affects the demo for some legal reason, time will tell but I would be surprised if it did.

assuming it will be useable, i wouldn't be surprised if the PT demo downloads will be a collectors item if they yank it off the PSN store

Well the only way you can use the download would be on the machine itself, therefor the collectible thing will be the machine itself - like that crappy flappy bird things a few years ago with people selling their iPhones
