But at long last, with all challengers defeated the two will turn there attentions to each other and when they collide on May 2nd, the world will stand still.

Styles makes fights.There are certain fighters whose style will beat another fighters style and this fight presents a excellent match up of styles. However neither fighter has faced a fighter like they are facing on May 2nd. Pacquiao presents a host of problems. He has faced power against Mosley, he has faced Speed against Judah and he has faced volume punching against Maidana. But against Manny Pacquiao he will be facing all those assets rolled into one fighter. Floyd presents an equally challenging problem for Pacquiao. Marquez presented a counter punching challenge to Pacquiao but not to the extent that Floyd possesses.Combined with his untouchable defence Floyd is no easy puzzle to solve.

Pacquiaos game plan:
For Pacquiao to win this I feel he needs to win the first 5 rounds. He has to push Floyd from the start but also be controlled in his aggression. He cannot afford to coast or be inactive during any rounds. Throwing combinations when he can will be key. I say when he can because he will not always be within close proximity due to Floyds reach advantage. Pacquiaos money punch is the straight left which contains power so when he does get the chance that is a punch he should be looking to land. His bread and butter of course will be his angles and feints. If he can be unpredictable enough with his punches he will score big points and make no mistake Manny can hurt Floyd. Landing flush punches is something Pacquiao shouldn't be solely aiming for because Floyd rarely gets hit flush, instead attack his body early and slow him down. If he can tire Floyd by the second half of the fight it leaves Manny an easier target to hit. We know Pacquiao has supreme conditioning but this fight will be won by who implements there game plan better. Pacquiao will need to curb his fighting instincts because they will lead to reckless mistakes. Instead be controlled in everything you do.

Floyds game plan:
Floyd is the favourite here for good reason. He is the unbeaten fighter and he has a style that neutralises his opponents. But this is far from an easy fight, Pacquiao presents problems for Floyd and Floyd will have to be at the top of his game to overcome them. Firstly, Floyd will have to move a lot more than he did in his fight against maidana. If he sits on the ropes and looks to let manny on then he could get himself into trouble. Instead use the jab and reach to pot shot and keep manny on the outside. Pacquiao will come forward but Floyd has the defensive abilities to alleviate that. Lateral movement and shots from the outside will keep manny at bay,plus being the bigger man if manny gets too close,clinching will be imperative. Of course Floyds money shots will be the straight right and the check left hook. The straight right can be effective during pacquiaos jabs and his straight left. Of course timing is everything. This is the key for Floyd. If he can time Manny early and suss him out then he can make it a long night for Manny but if he engages manny in a toe to toe crowd pleasing contest,then it gives manny the edge. Another key area for Floyd will be activity. He cannot throw a few punches here and there and look to coast rounds because Manny will throw a large number of punches.Whether they land or not, the crowds reactions and the aggressiveness could go down well with the judges for manny. Floyd can win this if he boxes smart and sticks to a game plan. Accuracy has always been a weapon and this fight he will require all of it.

Final prediction:
Just to have these two guys in the ring will be an iconic moment in boxing history but only one man will come out on top. My head and Heart say that man will be Floyd Mayweather. I think his speed and ring IQ will leave Pacquiao puzzled. Pacquiao will make it a close bout but i think Floyd will be too accurate and defensively crafty to allow manny to get on top. Pacquiao has power so i wouldn't rule out Floyd being hurt but i just think his experience and IQ will help him make the right adjustments and become the P4P King.
