Where has our fire gone?

Been a common theme for the past two or more years where we just can not maintain any sort of desire. Whether it is giving up goals soon after we score one, or when we get in position to secure a top 4 spot we suddenly stop trying (see Everton game and empty possession today), what is it with these players?

Or is it a manager problem?

Will we get another point this season?

This is symptomatic of the PL today. If you flood your league and clubs with foreigners to approve the quality of the football at the expense of local lads then you've got to accept that the price of that is a vast reduction in passion on the pitch.

We don't have a single United fan currently playing for United.

Same can be said of almost every team in the league these days. The English game is nothing like it used to be for passion.

We have seen games just like this before, we had chances and missed a pen.

But just something missing that we had in similar games under Fergie.....playing strikers in midfield probably isn't the answer and I'm not sure I understand it

With Ferguson he brought on attackers and just fecking went for it without much care for shape and balance.

I always said games we completely dominating possession shots we either draw or lose. Nearly every team to get something against us has the keeper play well and ride there luck and be deadly against us while we miss an awful lot of chances. 16 of the games we have dropped points in we should have won at least 10 of them by 2 or 3 goals.

Maybe 1 day hafi you'll realise that having more possession does not equal superiority
Utd remind me of Arsenal from a few years back, a lot of possession but then Concede a goal on the counter or via set piece.

Just like Arsenal, you'll do enough to clinch Top 4

I feel like he makes the game far more complicated than it needs to be sometimes. I will never be able to work out the tactical merit of playing our best two strikers in midfield, keeping Mata wide and watching RvP sulk outside the box was actually intriguing, in it's evident stupidity.

I've always said, even at my most critical of LvG, that he was still the only manager I wanted in charge but today has definitely put Klopp in mind. It's probably knee jerk but lets face it, today stank of Moyes, nobody but the baggies fans enjoyed their day at Old Trafford and it was all painfully predictable. Bayern were fairly ruthless when they appointed Pep, and I think one of either us or Liverpool are going to have be the same this summer. Because Klopp will probably have a job at one of the bigger clubs in Europe by this time next year, and we'll need a new manager either way in a year or two anyway.

This squad is not ready to compete for prizes yet. It will need a couple of years yet with a few personell changes.
