Bang average season for most clubs in the PL
For the big boys overall the standards seem to be slipping. Before long we'll be down to 3 possible CL places and then what will AW do with his 4th place trophy?
Liverpool have absolutely imploded. BR has an awful lot of work to do to win back trust after countless poor decisions in the last year, particularly in the transfer market. A major clear out is needed of players he has brought to Anfield himself. Will he 'see' what needs to be done or buy more attacking midfielders and poor strikers? In serious danger of taking AW's crown and his job is under serious threat. CL games were a complete joke!
City - thankfully for Chelsea, City seemed to have hired the Chilean Roy Hodgson. Good squad with some majorly poor signings added by Pelligrini. He hasn't really improved them at all in the last 2 years despite large investment. Certainly not getting the best out of them and will surely be gone in the summer. With a good manager City will get back to winning ways. Their title win was despite MP not because of
Arsenal - no real improvement. The truth is that despite players like Sanchez hitting the ground running and having outstanding seasons they aren't really any better than last season overall. Other teams have dropped their level hence pushing 2nd / 3rd. Points wise about the same isn't it, been 2nd or 3rd makes little odds. One win against a poor City and the usual means little yet. Got to win big games consistently. The results against teams like Monaco this season were awful
United - thankfully LVG is still it seems clueless as to what his best team is and they can't seem to find any balance on the pitch. Top heavy and defensively all over the place. Surely they can't be any worse next season? Should get top 4 this season but let's remember its only the qualifying competition for the CL and a dodgy drawer could be tricky
Chelsea - improved yes and lots of good players but need to step up a couple of levels to compete for the CL. Jose needs to let go of the reigns a little and let his talented players loose! He can't keep trying to shut up shop in the CL
English clubs need to do well in Europe. They need to genuinely compete at the sharp end in the CL to drive standards overall.
No improvements

I'm not sure what the point of this OP is.
Is it an open letter?
Either way I don't agree with a lot of it I'm afraid.

I am with Robbing and Greatteams
In regards to Arsenal there are obvious improvements. The first half of the season was pretty terrible, blighted by injury and poor decision making in the summer. But, whether by hook or by crook, we have found a far more solid way of playing.
You mention Man City (and of course they had to be awful when they played us, no credit at all to Arsenal), but ignore the 4-1 against a certain other team (who were very much in the race for top 2 at the time).
Of course Monaco was not acceptable, but there are many signs of a slight switch in mentality that has improved things drastically. Things still need to continue to improve, and hopefully Mr Wenger will not use the summer to revert to an Arteta style player ahead of a Coquelin type in CM.

I think all the teams have been average apart from Chelsea who have been consistent.

I disagree.
Chelsea may have improved , but Arsenal are the dictionary definition of consistency. Our yearly goals might not be as lofty as you might expect, but every season is just that bit better than the last.

Over the last two years I would say that is true, before that though?
