http://www.sportingnews.com/sport/story/2015-05-05/mayweather-vs-pacquiao-maypac-rematch-possible-stephen-a-smith-text

Stephen A. says @FloydMayweather just sent him a text that he will give @MannyPacquiao another shot in a year. pic.twitter.com/FUo9EEfb4U — ESPN First Take (@ESPN_FirstTake) May 5, 2015

Mentioned this last night. Pacman to undergo surgery. Take 9 or so months out. Come back and do it again in May 16. Both fighters make another killing

He will then rest for 6-9 months to make it look real
If it was an old injury what has it taken 7 years for him to realise he needs an operation
Doesn't look good for Manny
Will he have the balls to tell Arum where to go?

So many people in denial, even though the injury has been confirmed by multiple sources

7 year old injury and his team didn't realise it needed sorting, flippin eck, has he just hired them off a bunch of forums because they said they knew what they were doing

He's rapidly becoming a laughing stock

Injuries are part of the sport, you can't take anything away from Floyd for that. If Manny feels the injury stopped him winning, he can ask for a rematch then it's up to him to prove it.

Roach doesn't have a clue. He lost against Floyd once and you would think he would learn yet he got dominated by Floyd.

Freddie the joke coach Roach
----------------------------------------------------------------------

How can Floyd be the best of his era and yet Roach be a joke coach for not beating him?

Surely it's one or the other. Either Roach is a joke for not being able to beat Floyd or Mayweather is a fantastic boxer and 2 defeats to him is nothing to be ashamed of?
----------------------------------------------------------------------
The joke coach roach got the tactics against Marquez and bradley wrong too. Forget the Floyd fight. Even before that fight he was a mediocre coach.
----------------------------------------------------------------------

You should probably try and let the Boxing Writers Association of America know the above because they're getting their coach of the year award all wrong then.

I'm beginning to think you're the yin to D4's yang.

Watching this Floyd interview, you cant deny him credit for the fight. He's basically describing how he fought Manny and how Manny usually sets the traps against his opponents but against him, he was setting the traps. Regardless of Manny's injury, i dont think we should deny Floyd any credit. Rarely hear him speak about the skillside of boxing but when he does, its good to listen to.

I do stil want to watch a rematch though purely because these are the two best fighters of our era, it would be a shame not to see a sequel having waited so long for the 1st fight.

Mayweather would possibly take this as his final fight.

He'll fight once more to see his contract out, and then maybe one final showdown, billed as his last ever fight, to beat Marcianos record etc.. Against the second best of his generation.

If Pacquiao isn't behind bars of course...

In all seriousness, can't see anyone buying into it. Khan at Wembley would be of more interest.
