That's fair do's Tino .

Plus Suarez can single handedly beat a team on his own.

Was a good signing from Trebs that .

Trebs well done .

Cheers Di, and Tino for doing the result, I still need to sort my side out a bit myself to be honest.

Southend vs Taiwan

Southend

Taiwan
———————————— Navas
————— Barzagli — Bonucci — Chiellini
Coleman —— Alonso ——— Matic ———— Shaw
—————— Fabregas ——— Coutinho
—————————————Son

Two teams separated by just two points in a tight Division 1. It was the home side that made the stronger start to this game, Oxlade Chamberlain cutting inside and playing a neat one two with Kurzawa and beating Barzagli but his shot was saved by Navas. They had some real joy down that side and Chamberlain was tripped in the box which gave Sturridge the opportunity to open the scoring from the penalty spot. He smashed his penalty with confidence down the middle, and the sheer power got it past Navas. Taiwan were attacking at a fast pace though and a beauty of a pass from Alonso found Shaw in space on the left. The cross was low and found Fabregas but Terry got across to block the shot. Taiwan finally got a deserved equaliser on the stroke of half time from a corner kick when Alonso found Bonucci to head home from just outside the six yard box.

The second half saw the teams came out and once again Southend made the stronger start, with Pjanic having a long range screamer hit thew bar, and Sturridge drawing a super save from Navas. Taiwan got them on the counter attack though when Coleman found Fabregas in space, who slotted the ball across goal for Son who was scythed down for a penalty, conceded by Mustafi. Alonso stepped up to take it and looked for the top corner, but Buffon was equal to it and clawed it round the post to safety. Taiwan had one more chance and it was Fabregas who robbed Strootman in the middle and found Son with a great through ball who this time managed to get past Mustafi and avoid the challenge before calmly slotting past Buffon to give Taiwan the victory.

Southend 1-2 Taiwan

Note: I couldn't see Southend winning but could see them getting a draw so have put more draw slots to reflect that.

Southend
I don't like Tippy's tactics telling me Trippier's whoscored rating (which is an awful site btw - I've got experience there), how good Mustafi could be and how much better Sturridge is from his Chelsea days. They do have a good side with Pjanic and Strootman in particular standing out. Also Kurzawa was on the bench as well as starting

Taiwan
Playing the Juventus back three is great, but Barzagli has to be the CB, with Bonucci RCB due to his lack of pace and that's how Juventus do it. I really like the fluidity in their attack with the front three. I got a lot more out of these tactics on the system you wanted to play, with the high pressing, interchanging, attacking full backs etc. Another option though which I would prefer could be to play Coutinho and Son either side of Fabregas in a false nine?

MOTM: Oxlade Chamberlain: Didn't deserve to be on the losing team, the brightest Southend player by far and assisted the opening goal.

I'm sure Barzagi was CCB against Real this week and while I don't watch Italian football every week, from the occasions I've seen I'm pretty sure that's how it goes.

I will look into it though.
