Pleased for Richard Stearman, if he has picked up the award, (although one or two on 'ere will undoubtedly dispute it, pointing to the fact that he hasn't been Premier League standard).

I was more confident and pleased with my vote for player of the season than I am about my vote in the general election today.

Glad Stearman got it. Fully deserved.

Yes, Stearman was democratically elected by players and fans alike. I expect to wake up to a Green party landslide majority tomorrow.

That story about the fan from the US very moving indeed, the fact he will probably be dead before we play in the top flight again is so sad but hey ho I'm sure he is happy with a season of consolidation.

At least he's got to see a good few games though, I have heard stories of some ex-pats who were dumb enough to plan their trips back to the UK for the closed season.
