May v Pac - Estimated 6 Million buys.

Ridiculous figures to be honest.

Bit of a letdown in terms of what went on in the fight. Biggest fight financially yes but inside the ring, it didnt pan out that way. Forget about who was to blame etc, it just didnt feel like a fight of the century when it was all said and done. Something I've waited for, for 5 years and it just fizzled out during the mid rounds.

Based on financials though, it'd be silly to not do a rematch. Obviously they wouldn't get the same figures as this time around but it will still be big. However saying that, I just dont see Top Rank/HBO accepting terms that would be so unfavourable to them this time around though and they cant really complain about it either to be honest. Pac was the B side in this fight but stil got 40% of all revenue. Floyd will want more again this time around and I just dont see it being something that Old Bob will accept.

http://uk.businessinsider.com/mayweather-pacquiao-pay-per-view-estimates-5-million-buys-2015-5?r=US

"Kevin Iole of Yahoo Sports now reports that based on some of the early figures coming in, the number of pay-per-view buys for Mayweather-Pacquiao will be closer to 5.63 million and could go even higher.

We already know DirecTV sold 1.15 million PPVs, Dish Network sold 500,000, and AT&T's uVerse and Verizon's Fios combined to sell 600,000. That means the satellite and phone companies combined to sell 2.25 million.

Those numbers alone make Mayweather-Pacquiao the second-biggest PPV draw ever. But we are not even close to being finished. We don't know the numbers for the cable companies yet, and according to Iole they typically account for 55% to 65% of total buys.

Iole estimated that if cable companies made up 60% of the sales, the final number of PPV buys would be about 5.625 million. Even if we take the low end of the percentage estimate, the minimum number of PPV sales would be 5 million, with the high end at 6.43 million.

With a PPV buys estimate of 5.625 million, Mayweather will make $167 million to $195 million from the PPV sales alone, with Pacquiao taking home $114 million to $133 million.

Again, that is just from the PPV sales. According to Branch, other revenue streams will generate close to $140 million for the fighters to split.

At the end of the day, Mayweather is going to take home $250 million to $275 million, with Pacquiao clearing $170 million to $190 million.

Not bad for a fight that took less than an hour."

Well this fight has rinsed every penny out possible, I'm sure Floyd would be tempted, even if the rematch is half the winnings he's got.

Ace yeah i know what you mean. He's got foot speed but not good footwork.. He is now more of a jab, quick combo and move out kind of boxer now. Virgil Hunter keeps him in check after every round telling him to tie up if he's in trouble.

The type of boxer he's become under Virgil Hunter is a more cautious one but you can still see, he has the natural tendency to get into tear ups but for Hunter bringing him back down a peg or two in between rounds.

Also on a sidenote since he's hooked up with Haymon, i specifically remember one interview where he said the words, "it's all about being a smart fighter now, making the right moves in and out of the ring" It's like they're given a instruction manual written by Floyd on what to say as soon as they've signed up with Haymon.

Khan is a bit like Bruno in that he reacts wrongly when tagged - he fights fire with fire which is not a good idea when you have a questionable chin. As I mentioned before it's his sloppy footwork that leads him into these situations as he's usually too square when he attacks and unable to avoid counters. He has speed and a decent jab but not much of a ring IQ, which is why he's had upsets along the way. Good fighter to watch though.

Someone hasn't seen a Khan fight for a while.

And Bruno just stood there with his hands dropped to his side. Khan used to try and answer back with his own bombs.

That is the opposite not the same you fool
