Downsouf - you are spot on - I was there that day and we did put 7 past Arsenal at Filbert Street. Their 'keeper got injured and without any subs allowed those days they had to put an outfield player between the sticks. If I remember correctly it was Joe Baker former Hibs player who, I believe went on to play for forest.
Happy days!

Gally. One minute there's a thread from you regarding the 7-2 win against Arsenal and the next it has gone.
I vaguely recall it, but seeing the same scoreline earlier today seemed to bring it all back.

its true that their keeper went off and ex forest striker joe baker went into goal but this wasnt the reason for the win---we were 3-1 up and stuffing them when the injury happened.
its still the best win ive seen us get in 49 years og supporting them

This has been a sensible thread with some good and thoughtful chaps featuring. I am truly grateful for your input gentlemen.
As for other one concerning Forest... God,
it is like a civil war. Why don't they just stick
to their own crummy boards!!

Thanks glynnak - it wasn't my intention to make their 'keeper's injury an excuse for the scoreline but it may have looked that way from the way I'd put it. You are quite right that we were stuffing them before Baker went in goal. In fact, as far as I can remember, he actually made quite a few good saves so probably prevented City from scoring even more.
Let's hope we both live long enough to see a repeat!

You should have put this on the Forest board too. And made sure Revspencer and Tricky Tree In Texas saw it.
But anyway - thats me laughing at Forest!!!

Gally, that wasn't intended for you by any means. A filter was recently put in after I gave out a contact number and your last thread didn't appear despite efforts to 'undo' the safety mechanism. It was intended for one or two who seem to have drifted abroad from elsewhere.
