Friedel - Too Old, coaching role maybe?
Kaboul - Doesnt play, not the same since an injury.
Chiriches - Car crash defender, simply not good enough.
Capoue - Doesnt play, not in Poch`s plans.
Lennon - Loaned out, not fancied by Poch.
Holtby - Loaned out, not fancied by Poch.
Possible outs:
Paulinho - Disappointing couple of seasons, not shown enough.
Fazio - Slow and cumbersome, useful as an aerial defender.
Dembele - Inconsistent and frustrating performer.
Stambouli - Few chances, looks steady squad player at best.
Soldado - Does not suit Poch`s system, hardly ever plays
Adebayor - Out of favour, inconsistent and more often than not too lazy.
Desperately needed ins:
A powerful quick CF - Benteke?
2 x CB`s, at least 1 with proven PL experience and quality.
Defensive midfielder
Creative midfielder
Pacey wide forward.
Ideally some of the above would be proven winners with leadership qualities.
A big transfer window ahead, or at least there ought to be. I do not expect that Poch will get what he needs sadly and we will face another season of treading water or slight stagnation.
Maybe some more evidence of the new stadium progression would soften the somewhat gloomy outlook of being a Spurs fan, but even that seems to be taking forever and ever to progress.

It wouldn't be the best combo, but I reckon it would give us one of the better midfields in the league.
I'm a big fan of Nzonzi as well, he is such a solid player, no player had run more in the league until Eriksen recently overtook him, no injury problems, good-safe passing range.

Isn't Dele Alli, presuming that he is ready meant to be bentaleb's midfield partner? He's box-to-box like mason but is appears stronger, more athletic, plus can finish.

Hengy is probably a good person to answer that nameless bloke. I have never seen him play.
If we had a few good midfielders that means we could always play a nice 3 man midfield as well.

Can't expect Ali to come in and play 30gamesplus next season. He will probably get loaned to a championship club after playing in league 1

Spurs need at least four defenders for starters, before even thinking about any other positions in the team.

Excellent article and spot on with your summary of how are squad should be changed in the summer. Lets hope this happens. We desperately need winners with leadership qualities. Poch has recently said in an interview that he would prefer premier league based players which would certainly help with transition.
Regarding Dele alli i dont think he will be quite ready to partner Bentaleb so ideally it would be good to play him in the Europa and other cup comps and ease him in gently and i would say the same applies to Pritchard and Yedlin.
Regarding transfers in i would love to see Vlaar and Milner arrive. If not Shawcross and Wanyama.
This would give us an experienced defensive base with leadership and we could perhaps scout abroad for an attacking midfielder and centre forward.
Its absolutely imperative that we get it right in this transfer window because bit by bit the top four clubs are pulling away from us.

I'm a massive Alli fan and been watching him for years but he needs easing in... Massive step up from league 1.

I agree that Alli needs easing in and we can't expect too much from him too soon. However, don't forget that mason was playing in league one last season and certainly didn't have as good a season in league one as Alli has had this season. No point sending him out on loan, at the very least should be playing in europa league/ league cup

can't see alli being ready for regular first team prem football next season....
also sunday supplement seems pretty certain today ings to 'pool is a done deal.....
we fooked....unless this new scout can unearth some lower league or unknowns from abroad...our previous possible targets...
