And so to our top 40.
Starting with Chris Hussey. 30 starts and 6 subs including a run out at Wembley after a return from loan at Bury, where he subsequently returned on a permanent basis and has played his part in their automatic promotion to League One. 3 goals, all at the start of his Brewers career and 4 yellows.
At 39, Justin Richards. 34 starts and 18 subs after finally signing for the Brewers following a number of will he/won't he moments in the Clough era. 3 yellows but it his 13 goals that make him our first double figure scorer. One in 255 is good enough for 7th in that ranking. Spent time at Tamworth, last seen at Sutton Coldfield Town.
At 38, one of our champions. Lucas Akins has managed 35 starts and 3 subs despite injury problems. Top scorer with 9, having had the first goal against Northampton struck off after being originally awarded it despite being several feet away! 339 minutes between goals does not make the top 10. 4 yellows.
37. Darren Moore. 37 starts and 5 subs. Arrived with Premier League and very recent Championship experience but a year too far is probably the kindest way of looking back. 10 yellows and a red. Great ambassador off the pitch. Now developing the youngsters at West Bromwich Albion.
36. Jack Dyer. 39 starts,23 subs. 10 yellows, 2 goals, most memorably the equaliser against Fulham. 11 outings for Nuneaton last season but my trail fades after February.
35. Artur Krysiak. Our third keeper in our third game as a League club, which has set something of a pattern in maintaining consistency between the sticks. Crossing paths as he goes down to League Two with Yeovil. 40 starts. 2 yellows and a red.
34. Stuart Beavon. 43 starts and 3 subs. 8 yellows including two that got him a red. Player of the Year. Player's player of the year. Living proof that statistics only tell half the story as his 7 goals have each taken 532 minutes. That's just a little slower than Chris Palmer and Cleveland Taylor!
Two more years should see him rise much higher in the ranks
33. Moooooooooooooooose. 45 starts for John Mousinho. 2 goals when he was a midfielder.10 yellows. His move to centre back has been one of the highlights of the season.
32.Marcus Holness. 46 starts and 7 subs. 7 yellows and 2 reds, one of which effectively cost him his place for most of 2013-14. Played a brilliant role as squad man, rewarded with a crucial semi-final goal and a start at Wembley. 2 goals. Moved to Tranmere, for whom he made 24 appearances, though none since January.
And last for today, yet another goalkeeper, though one with potential to finally solve this six year problem. 48 starts for Jon McLaughlin rewarded with a two year deal that will surely see him rise to the top of the (goalie) pile. Will have to wait till at least the second game of the new season though, having added that red at Cambridge to two earlier yellows.
Three more keepers tomorrow, though one of them will be named as the holder of most starts. I will also reveal our most potent striker, measured by minutes per goal.

I am not sure if it fits alongside a part time football career at non-league level but Jack Dyer works at the Aldridge Fit Club.
