There is no doubt in my mind though that there will be clauses in the contract about Rangers getting to the SPL

In other words, it is either based on Rangers getting to the SPL and the monies going up or Rangers not getting there and the monies going down. Unless it is a punt by both parties

I was just about to exclusively reveal that is the case. My understanding from a source (ahem) is that there had been a bit of tooing and frooing on the announcement of the contract. Ladbrokes wanted to wait to await the outcome of the play offs before announcing but the SPFL didn't want the announcement to come after Rangers got promotion (if that somehow happened)

The compromise is that there is a clause of a higher payment if there are OF games next season.
