Lets be honest, we have not played well for almost a whole season in the league now. Ever since we switched to 4411 to accommodate Vdv we have looked fare less dangerous and threatening and our lightening quick movement and attacking play which used to define us has dried up. As much as i love Vdv, and i respect that on his day he is one of our top 3 players, but he is not good enough to change our whole system for. His fitness also seems to be an issue.
Either we play him on the right of a 4-4-2 with Lennon on the bench, in the center of a 4-4-2 (if we lose modric) or we don't play him at all. I also feel Dawson is a liability at the back, the ease with which Aguero went past him for City's 4th was laughable.
As i write this city have just gone 5-1 up. We are at home, and while City have spent millions on getting where they are, there is no excuse to lose to one of our supposed "rivals" 5-1 at home. We need some more strikers, preferably someone who is willing to run in behind and can take a player on with skill a la Suarez or Aguero.

Yep, the team need to take a long look at themselves. We lack bite in midfield without Sandro and there was no movement up front. Crouch is like a giant pole, only useful for bouncing things off!

Agreed on both points, I thought with Huddlestone coming on at half time we would tighten up a bit in the middle, obviously not. We need Diarra in pronto IMO we can't simply afford to wait for Sandro to recover. Crouch has to go! All my flat mates were just laughing at him, its ridiculous!

VDV`s injury may well be a blessing if he misses the next game, we could go back to 442 and see if there is any difference.
Crouch is useless and we should snap Stokes hand off if they bid, he will suit their style of play.
