We need:

a quick strong and powerful CF
a pacey wide forward
a creative CM
a defensive CM
2 x CB`s
some competition for Walker
a 3rd choice GK

Ideally some of these would have a winning mentality and leadership qualities.

Ideally I only wanted 4 in. If I stick with that then we'll have to keep Soldado and just get a DM, CB, winger and a ST

I'd go with Ledleys as most likely.

But I want one experienced and no nonsense CB and DM.

Striker big powerful and quick.....and wide pacey attacking winger/forward

Poch has recently stated that there will be a maximum of 5 players coming in for next season ideally players who are already playing in the prem.

Given the awful state of our defence we must sign 2 defenders in my opinion, hopefully Vlaar and Wimmer (who is virtually signed from what ive read)

We need a specialist DM hopefully Shneiderlein or someone similar.

Attacking wise a right sided midfielder with genuine pace who also offers width and Id love to see us try for Bolasie or someone similar

Upfront id like to see 2 strikers coming in but feel we will only buy one, Austin or Ings for me.

My outs would then be -

Chiriches, Kaboul, Stambouli (shame as he has never been given a chance but there must be a reason why he has been overlooked) Paulinho, Lennon, Holtby, Capoue, and Adebayor

So this is my squad for next season -


GK - Lloris, Vorm, Archer

RB - Walker, Yedlin (Dier as cover)

CB - Vlaar, Vertonghen, Dier, Wimmer, Fazio

CM - Shneiderlein, Bentaleb, Dembele, Mason, Alli

AM - Bolasie, Eriksen, Chadli, Townsend, Lamela, Pritchard

CF - Kane, Austin / Ings, Soldado

LB - Rose, Davies (Vertonghen as cover)

we need


1. young centre back - done deal - simmer
2. experienced, proven, premier league ready centre back (vlaar will do)

3. DM, or a CM with DM qualities (Morgan S is perfect)

4. A pacey wide man - Ayew or similar

5. another striker to compliment / compete with kane - preferably with pace


all the above are essential


on top of that we also need


6. a 3rd keeper
7. a 3rd striker (happy for it to either be an old pro like klose, or a young player with potential)
8. depending on what happens with stambouli/dembele, we need a pure CM who will play a squad role. my suggestions would be either sissoko or diame… and which one of the two depends on which of hull or newcastle go down. the club that goes down, thats the one we go for. i don't think there is much between the players.

Baring in mind that we probably won't be looking to spend much. A team that looks something like this would be an improvement on what we have.

Schneiderlin and Alderweireld are realistic signings if we are serious about them. Mirallas is possible using Lennon as leverage. Ayew would be a free transfer.


I'd rotate Lamela with Eriksen or Mirallas and Chadli with Ayew. I can't think of a realistic and good enough striker.

Would have loved for Davies to be better than he has been. That Fenerbahce player Erkin seems like a decent left back besides the obvious Rodriguez from Wolfsburg.
