Its clear as a summer's day.....

1 - VDV and Modric cannot play in the same team

2 - Crouch is about as useful as a chocolate teapot

back to point 1 though - that being the case, either Harry quickly realises it and stops playing together, or one of them leaves. On the basis Modric cannot score anywhere near enough goals - it must be him that leaves (lets not hear the carp about him being our best player please - one player does not make a team)

point 2 - he offers so little, he gives away more free-kicks than a centre-back

also - VDV today, possible pulled hamstring appears to be the problem, yet Harry was not happy!!!! Does he feel that playing on would have been the best idea? If so then he needs to be educated and fast. The game was lost, Citeh were cruising and we only scored for that reason - so what if we went down to 10 men - we could have had 12 out there today and still got hammered, at least VDV might be available for our next game, if he had played on he could have been out for the next 8.

We need Ade, we possibly need another striker - so we need Levy to put his hand in his pocket and show the Spurs fans that he wants success on the park as well as on the books

I cannot see why VDV and Modric can't play together.I think the problem is that we always go with two wingers when it must be obvious that against the best teams we need to pack our midfield thereby having VDV up front rather than in midfield where he too often plays right now.

So you're saying play VDV but get yet another striker in aswell? Well do you mean play VDV in midfield somewhere then?

Its playing him up front in place of a striker that has us in this mess.

Spurs were trying to buying every Tom,Dic and Harry last season, this year it seems the opposite. Why?

Free beer.Do you really think that we care about your opinions--what can a Chelsea fan know about real football ? Go back to your own board little one.

Chelsea supporters turning off Modric because of one match? It takes more than one player to make a team.
Cockney,we do need 2 strikers because I doubt if Defoe would have done much and Pav has gone right off. Crouch and Defoe can both go for me although I don't know who would want Defoe.

Ignore the wums, there's nothing we can say in response to the way they are feeling. Only time will make us laugh again when the right results start to come back. We are rubbish at the moment so just ignore them.

Why on earth cannot VDV and Modric play in the same team? They are our two best players as it happens and they must start as many games as possible. The time has come for Crouch to be less involved, for Lennon to be challenged for his starting birth and restore some solidity to our midfield. I would very much favour dropping Lennon and stop relying on our wingers so much to provide crosses for the ineffectual crouch.

As already mentioned, VDV playing as a striker, especially with a 6ft 7 weakling like Crouch, is our biggest problem. This failed so many times last season, but in Harrys head it is somehow a dream strikeforce. Now that VDV is injured, it will be interesting to see Defoe n Adebayor up front.

Also, sell Crouch. And sell Modric if his heart ain't with Spurs anymore.

I aguess my point has not been made too great - so try this:

VDV to drop back into midfield, hell - thats where he already plays if you watch the games

2 up front, preferably not beanpole

no to dropping Lennon, he used to feed Defoe at the near post all the time, think back eh

Nika - I hate calling any of our players the best players, they are both quality yes, but to suggest for that reason they can play in the same team is folly

I think Teddy has just made a good point, about Ade and JD going up front

midfield of duo any two of: VDV, Hudd, Sandro (when fit), Niko, Livermore - no ratboy as I actually want him gone, simple as

wide 2 are obvious

then Ade of JD up front

added to the above last point - I know there are gonna be loads saying it wont work for whatever reason - but quite frankly - how the hell does anyone know???

it cannot get any bloody worse than what we have at present
