Stupid reactionary article, don't think he played badly tonight at all. Sunderland had 10 men behind the ball all the facking time and most of the time 11 men. We had no width or pace in the team and were too predictable, everything through the middle, everything had to be perfect and we weren't good enough.

Wenger's obsession with playing midfielders on the right will cost us next season if it continues, and it may even cost us at Wembley if we aren't careful. If Chamberlain is not fit then Walcott must start.

Ozil is not a player who wins you games single-handedly, but someone who does the little things better than any other midfielder. When the ball is played to him you always expect him to make the right decision and, when possible, do something special. He should be the fulcrum of Arsenal's attack.
But he can only be effective if the other players make the right runs. That's currently the main problem at Arsenal for him.

Ozil is a languid, often lazy player who doesn't contribute much in the defensive phase, but we all knew this when he was signed. He's been this sort of player his entire career and has performed with great success in spite of it at Bremen, Real and with Germany. He's a counter-attacker who thrives on movement into the channels ahead of him, which he's not getting at the moment. If we're not going to play a system that he'll fit into, then I agree we should sell him but that has more to do with the manager's tactics than his own failings.

He doesn't though, he loses the ball a hell of a lot and makes a lot of wrong decisions. He's playing nowhere near as good as a he can which is why he's getting criticised, he's getting booed by Germany fans after he won 3 player of the year for them in a row because he's been poor for them for over a year as well.
