Passing, Possession, Pash

Cazorla made 162 passes tonight. Only 2 lead to a shot on goal.
Ramsey made 129 passes of which only 2 lead to a shot on goal.
Ozil made 89 passes. 7 lead to a shot on goal.

This isn't a comparison article. All I'm saying is why are these players making a combined 380 passes and only 11 of those have lead to a shot on goal??? This isn't even 11 chances, this is just 11 shots from various places.

Rosicky was on the pitch for 10 minutes played 14 passes and was involved in 2 chances. Clearly the most effective despite making a fraction of the passes.


What Arsenal need are "productive players". Players that turn possession into chances, shots and goals.

What Arsenal have is way too many number 10s who actually aren't very creative or visionary (I only think Ozil is up to scratch in this capacity).

We need wide players like Theo, Ox, Sanchez and Welbeck. Why does Sanchez come central so much? He can't keep hold of the ball and if he does manage to hang onto it he just plays a meaningless pass out the rightback anyway.

Also, Giroud just isn't good enough to win us a title is he. He is certainly good enough to be in the squad but he isn't a game winning CF.
How often do we see Costa, Aguero, Suarez and Ibra's sides being held to a 0-0 draw? How often do they score a goal out of little more than a sniff on a goal?
We should be looking to pounce of Lacazette this summer. He seems to me like the player that Theo always wanted to be (but was never capable of being). That or Benteke, who is just a stronger/faster version of Giroud and thus more capable of taking advantages of receiving the ball in the box.


We've being awful for the last 4 games and have hardly created any chances despite having a settled side. All because Wenger has to force Cazorla and Ozil in to the same team and does so by playing one deep and then forcing a midfielder out wide. Will he ever change? I hope so.

I hope Welbeck is back for the final or that Arsene finally sees the light and gets Walcott out wide and benches one of Santi/Mesut.

P.s. Sanchez is starting to worry me. If I was Wenger I would send him on a holiday to Monaco for the next 6 days and tell him to rest up. He just keeps running down blind alleys.
