Well after the nauseating Gerrard ass kissing the last few weeks on the site, the couldnt have picked Lampard over him despite all the stats just above the verdict saying Lampard had more appearances, goals, assists and trophies.

kinda true, i think 5 live had a program on gerrard's top 10 moments just last night, so the bbc weren't going to be noshing off gerrard for the past 2 weeks and then do a complete U turn.

tbf I've always said that i'd prefer gerrard in a relegation or mid table side, a man who can drag his team out the dirt(even though lamps done that on several occasions)
and would prefer lampard in a dynamic attacking title chasing side for tight games and goals and assists.

Lampard is a better passer, obviously has more assists and range. Gerrards shooting was more impressive for me though although lampard scored an extra 50 goals or so.

Lampard is also for me tactically better, especially defensively and due to an apparent naturally larger heart than most humans has ridiculous stamina.

Gerrard though as a box to box at times was unplayable.

Lampard more consistent over a league season too but gerrard as a single entity could be more dangerous in a game.

why do you laugh at that scouse heart? chelsea have been consistently defensively better and well drilled then liverpool. Imo lampard has been a major part of that. Especially once makelele left the side.

Our CL run is evidence of this surely?

gerrards pass backs to oppo players and lapses of concentration also back up my view tbh.

I've seen his video and have to reverse myself, the lad is quite ready, he should play every game this new season, probably share lampards role, he is too good to be on the bench, reminds me of iniesta
