This is my first post but i have been a long time reader of 606.
Not to write off our season already but from paul mersons pre match analysis there doesn't seem much hope. but what does he know.
Wengers post match excuses will probably be, we lack strength, mental,we were not sharp, his usual spiel.
But untill he buys a dominant centre half and some more creativity in midfield we wont be going anywhere. To play rosisky in there (who was very poor last season) is ridiculous.
From what i heard on sunday supplement that we apparently bid 8ml for phil jones last jannuary and blackburn said 10ml and we could have him but we stuck to our guns, but obviously back fired on us. I think it all comes down lack of strength in signing players, you need someone like Dien to take the shopping list off wenger and say don't worry i will sort.
anyway rant over and hopefully we will have a better 45min but with djouuro on the pitch i doubt it...

You can't just "buy" a solid defensive attitude. You buy the best players you can, and sort things out in training.
The players we have at the back are not as bad as the defence play collectively. We can go ahead and buy Cahill or Dann, whoever, but they need to be used properly.

This will push Wenger towards spending but this game is not a good one to judge our team by. We should not buy Cahill as Koscielny and Vermaelen are solid and Cahill would cost too much coming to Arsenal looking for first team football which he does not deserve.

i do believe that Kos and TV are good enough its just the lack of depth when one of them or god forbid both of them get injured we don't have the quality on the bench and granted 17ml for a bench warmer is over the top.
It seems are weak defending started when we decided to play such a high line all the time because most our defensive errors often happen when our defenders are facing the goal, just think that our back 4 gets turned to easily.

Yeah Koscielnys header against Welbeck fir the first goal was real dominant
We need a centre back like Cahill who is BETTER than Koscielny
A defensive midfielder who can actualy defend and keep a calm head
A playmaker who will take the pressure off of Wilshere cause Ramsey clearly isnt ready
