My reaction to hearing on the news that Kolo Toure had signed a new contract at Anfield
Are we genuinely so poorly managed that we'd be offering new deals to players like Toure
It says it all really, BR, Ian Ayre, sorry but this is the decision making that needs to ensure you leave Anfield!
The truth is Kolo should never ever have been brought to Anfield in the first place. 6 month drug ban....my Wife's diet pills!!! Either you are incredible stupid or dangerous, or both!
Do we honestly have to see that pitiful 'lost' expression when he's made yet another mistake resulting in a goal against
We sell Luis for nibbling a grizzled Italian on international duty. We offer 'drug ban' Kolo a new contract. Go figure?
I nearly crashed the car...!

Nice story Thunder.

I can only imagine he has taken quite a large slash in his wages. His defending for the last goal versus Stoke was some of the worst i've ever seen though. Just casually strolled over to player and shaped up as if he wanted the cross to get past him.

It's a one year extension. Big whoop.

It's not the length of the extension that is my issue here. It's the fact that an extension has been contemplated, discussed and then agreed. They shouldn't have even entertained the idea of an extension for such a standard of player.
It says a lot about the mentality of the club

No, I'm not fat
As above, that story suggest he's really stupid, dangerous or both!
Fact is that he's dangerous on the football pitch. What on earth is the point in keeping him?
He's not demonstrated his experience on the pitch at all. He's been woeful. And off the pitch the example he's set is this nasty drugs business with these 'pills'. How can anyone not think that is an issue. We are condoning this by keeping him. Very strange message, he's not a leader on the pitch and certainly will do nothing off it
Any one of the younger players with Wisdom, Coates and Ilori would offer more than him this is before we look at other options
It's the absolute truth....another deal for Toure says everything about the mentality of the club!

It sure does. Sign up fourth choice players with a host of experience who overall have been dependable when called upon. I don't see the issue.

I'm a bit shocked to be honest, he was on the slide when he left us and so I was amazed you took him - but to sign a new contract in 2015...

TOOR, do you REALLY think he's dependable? Experience counts for nothing without ability and nowadays, I would hate to see Toure in a red shirt. If we're happy with being a bum team then yes, accept his level of ability, but if we want to win something significant, we have to look beyond him, even as a backup.

If you think he's dependable then you simply aren't watching him play
All over the place
That silly lost expression as a makes a mistake / slices the ball into the net is just crushing. He is in no way an experienced head needed at Anfield. But each of us has an opinion
The drugs issue should of ensured in the first place he should not of been signed. How can someone that did that possibly be seen as a good professional with good experience. Clearly he doesn't use it!

He certainly is dependable. He comes in and does a job when he's called upon, which is rarely. That's all you ask from a fourth choice centre back.
'If you don't agree with me then you're accepting mediocracy'.
Now where have I seen that before, Thunder?
