This has now caused fans who have abused him for 4 years (bar 6 months), to call him a traitor... You couldn't make it up. Get out Darren, go where you are respected and the fans have a clue! I have no issue letting a player know you don't rate him, but don't sob and beg him to stay when he appears better than what we already have!
All the high earners are off, all the quality on-loan lads are disappearing, and we are now replacing ALF with Madine, and keeping the 37 year non goalscoring strikers on...
But don't worry...... Because in Lennon we trust.....
I am left asking why though? When I look at the teams above us and the managerial changes they had, the success, improvement, decent signings, higher league standings, I am confused.
I am not saying I don't like Lennon, but so far he is absolutely nothing special as far as I can see. He is given praise for bringing the youth in, but with injuries, he had to? What was he playing at with the 9 loanees, half of which I never saw? Was it worthwhile sending Medo and Spearing out, and see our midfield assist with defenders, as much as I did???
He spent more time in the media abusing the players than Freedman did! He changed formation, personnel and tactics like Freedman did, but we just accepted it....?!
Lennon has not had a pre season or the luxury of a decent window to sort it out, that is why I am happy for him to carry on.... But the 'Love-In' that some fans have towards him is an absolute joke. He wears a tracksuit and shouts a bit.... So do most people from Liverpool, but we don't trust them??
This coming season we are down with the bookies for being second favs for relegation. Of course we don't read too much into that.... But what it says is there is massive work to do in the summer....
Last summer we said goodbye to the Juke, this summer it will be the ALF......
Still....... With Eidur and Emile, at least we can smile and say they were good once.....

Hi Mallorca, Your assessment may well be right but I will see what this season brings before I start castigating Lennon.
If he can't get the players in because of lack of funds for signings and wages, I won't be blaming him. I will save that for our esteemed Chairman, who has presided over the destruction of the club.
If however, he manages to get decent players in, which is doubtful, given the lack of funding, then continually plays them out of position and uses the wrong tactics, I will not be happy and voice my opinion.
The only light at the end of the tunnel is the youth players that are coming through. So I still have hope.

Just to add one further point, I believe the Duke, would be with us now if money had been available to sign him.

If I'd have had the abuse Pratley got over his stay here I'd have gone as well.
I also dislike this in (insert football managers name here) we trust nonsense as well.
I thought I'd read that Lennon was aiming for top half this coming season with an eye on Promotion the next year. Small steps and all that.

Would you keep medo and spearing? Danns had lost the plot at the end of the season, mavies is an injury waiting to happen, trotter is trotter. I would like to keep spearing, medo and vela as our first choices in the centre, danns on the bench. Get what you can now for mavies before his next big injury. Trotter? Stuck with him for 2 more years no takers. Cheers dougie

I never berated Pratley at the stadium however I will acknowledge I have been heavily critical on here and to friends. I believe that was right due to what I saw on the pitch. He earnt very good money for a poor return. Unfortunately hid only good spell came at the end. If it had been reverse were he had started well followed by years of rubbish there would not be half this fuss.

I would like to have a more defensive wall in front of the back 4 compared to the one we had with Bannan and Danns.
Potentially Spearing could get us a transfer fee and off loading of wages, but we seem to have spent years failing to do this, and wait till their contract ends. Sadly, I see him leaving again on loan and we subsidise wages rather than a fee etc.
Danns Trotter and Feeney fill me with absolute dread when I consider our midfield.
