The truth is that at the end of 3 years BR hasn't delivered what should reasonably be expected
Yesterday's result added further evidence to this where a very average team that beat Liverpool was easily dismantled by a team that we were thrashing last season
We've gone backwards fast. We've got an average team and average squad with a lot of money spent on players we didn't need and that haven't worked. BR hasn't built anything that suggests there is a sustainable bright future at Anfield
The team at this point actually needs a GK, RB, CB, DM, CF x 2 so at least 5 or 6 first 11 players which when you look at what we've spent simply isn't good enough
We still have Brad Jones as a back up keeper and a number 1 who has already had several crisis moments. We keep buying defenders who can't defend (almost like we've not scouted them) and rewarding mediocrity with new contracts. What's next a new 5 year mega deal for Joe Allen?
We're in that situation where we 'hope' that certain players will come good. I'm afraid 'hope' usually delivers very little
I look at a team now playing a 3 CB system that is exposed and unbalanced with a forward line including Mario, Fabio and Ricky thinking how anyone can have confidence in the work BR has done? A good season last time out thanks to 2 World Class operators who are no longer at the club and have not been replaced to even a fraction of their ability does not mask the overall position at the end of 3 years. We are further away than ever. Even Spurs finished ahead of us again!
Can BR attract top players to Anfield - the truth is no. Every time he's gone for someone they haven't arrived hence we are left with 'hope'
No shame in it not working, there are a few jobs like West Ham out there. So do the decent thing and walk away with you head up. If we keep this going the tears are only just around the corner!
Time to do the decent thing...

I've always wondered why football clubs are not named after their managers. I mean it's all about them, everything, one man, job lot.

I see BR as a good coach but his 'management' has been found wanting whether its team shape & tactics in key games, building a team & squad, media work, relationships with players, there are issues across the board in every aspect
That I'm afraid isn't good enough at Anfield after 3 years
We aren't Arsenal. Stop been an apologist, stop trying to defend the indefensible

I think anyone who doesn't think Arsenal have very defensible reasons for not competing with Chelsea, City and United over the stadium build era has been taking human harvested Dimethyltryptamine.

You see what your doing there
Where were Arsenal in 2004? Unbeaten Champions or struggling to get top 4 every season?
Had AW been in place since 1996 hence had sufficient time to build an infrastructure to forgo the need to spend massively at that time?
So, did Arsenal need to really go and spend money like Chelsea at that point? Of course they didn't. The squad was there. They simply chose to start offering players like Pires 1 year contracts
They'd been at Europe's top table for years. In 2 seasons Chelsea came along, spent a few quid and suddenly all we got from the Emirates was excuses and apologists. It's been the same for years
AW has had since 1996 to create the structure to produce enough talent to not need to spend the money. The have been pouring money into players like Bendtner, Denilson et al for years. The money, like at Anfield has been spent poorly
Clubs like Bayern, Barca and in fact United make Arsenals excuses look like the lame pile of nonsense they actually are
United didn't moan about Chelsea's money, they got on with taking them on and beating them! 6 or 7 key men in that team & squad that were home grown winners! With a few key buys SAF competed and won!

I think it's more simple than that. He simply doesn't understand football and doesn't know what he's talking about.
If some want Rodgers to leave then fair enough, don't moan when the new manager can't get us to a title challenge, facing the same obstacles Rodgers has, however his reasons are messed up nonsense.

I try to keep things simple yet here we go with the insane / doesn't understand thing
What is it that I don't understand?
3 years in we've moved from 8th place in the league to 6th despite investing over £200 million in the team and squad. Terrific
As per previous some of you have become apologists for what hasn't been delivered. You are not making any reasonable points as to why we sit in this position after 3 years, behind Tottenham for example
I happen to think this isn't really good enough. I think when BR is eventually gone you will realise that I'm not the one that's insane...

"3 years in we've moved from 8th place in the league to 6th despite investing over £200 million in the team and squad."
not seeing the issue here
City, United and Chelsea spent significantly more and can pay higher wages to keep their players.
Spurs, Arsenal and us have spent nearly identical amounts over the last 3 years but Arsenal are more established a sqaud as you'd expect from having the same manager for so long and now they spend more on wages and the like under FFP.
It was a bad season in large part to losing our best player for the whole season.
we were -1 from where we should finish by a point or two. No difference between 5th and 6th anyway.

How?
We've moved nowhere. All there is above is a few miserable excuses
Finishing below Spurs...Spurs!
Honestly some of you live in a world of complete denial
The fact is that there were 'choices' made to sell players / bring players in / play a particular way / ignore key positions in the team / in fact, ignore scouting anyone judging by some of the performances of these players
FSG have just told all that BR's methods were not working. They haven't got rid yet with only CP and MM going but BR is only a few more bad results away from been replaced
Not really my problem that you can't see it and some genuinely go to extreme lengths to justify failure!
