"Everton face the nightmare of centre half Joseph Yobo returning - after rejecting a £2.5million offer from Fenerbahce.
The Turks want to sign Yobo after a season-long loan, but supremo Bill Kenwright wants £5m.
He has a year left on his Blues' deal and boss David Moyes wants to sell him"
This was in the Daily Mirror (I took it from the OS)
I was wondering what people made of it. Do we hold out for £5 million or sell at £2.5??
If he does come back will he just stay on the bench and sit out his contract. I would sell for £3.5 just so we get a bit of cash for him.
On the other side it does add some more competition for places and as ever we are sure to get injuries. I like Yobo but only as back up.
Bit harsh??

Nah, ship him out and free-up his wages for someone up & coming who at least gets on the bench or something.

Prefer Yobo to Distin

What?? Distin just had a cracking season . I can't remember Joey ever being as solid. I think he is decent but very error prone and would be fourth choice centre back in my eyes.
Saying that, I think we should hold out for at least £4mill. They are trying it on cus they know we dont have any money..

Yobo won't be returning. We've refused their bid, as it's less than the figure that was set as the purchase price when they took him on loan.
We'll be looking to find an alternative buyer for him at the price we want. If we do it'll force them to pay the going rate or he'll move elsewhere, if we don't, we'll reach a close compromise with them. Either way, he won't be coming back to Goodison.
